Mid party, Mark asked if the party was public or private. I did not remember and could not check settings. If it's there, it's not obvious.
It would be fun to be able to create a "Station" that users can join, but that only the host is able to add songs. This would let a host share their music with a large group of users and not risk griefers spamming the party with unwanted tracks. *Bonus points if you can reassign station hosts.

Party hosts exist but have no moderation permissions over their own party's chat. We also don't verify user age, so we should assume minors may be present until we confirm otherwise. Main risks: users insulting each other's music choices, profanity/slurs/hate speech going unfiltered, and no enforcement path if something gets reported. Recommended first steps (days, not weeks): Client-side profanity filter on send Report + block button per party Give hosts the ability to mute/remove someone from their own party's chat Basic rate limiting to stop flooding Publish chat guidelines directly in the chat UI Near Term: assign someone to own the report queue, add a zero-tolerance hard-block list for slurs/hate speech, and get 15 minutes with legal/compliance on whether age verification (COPPA/GDPR-K) applies to us. Longer term: migrate to a chat SDK with built-in moderation (Stream, Sendbird, PubNub) instead of maintaining this ourselves. At first I thought they were stuck loading, but after about a minute results finally loaded. Regardless of whether I search something or leave the search bar blank, the Explore/Library pane in the left side shows a results loading animation for a very long time and delays my ability to pick music to add to the player.
Currently I can skip forward songs in a party but not back. If a song accidentally skips to the next one, I want to be able to go back.
Allow party hosts to promote an active use to be the party host. By default, promote the first active user in the session if the host leaves the party unexpectedly and revert when the initial host returns.
The "Stop the Music" red popup when replacing and playing new music is confusing. Playback stops and the fullscreen "Join Party" prompt appears if a user navigates away from the player during a party.
This functionality already exists on other streaming services. If I'm playing "Say It Ain't So" by Weezer, I should be able to click on Weezer in the playlist or the playback bar and that opens a search of Weezer's music or their artist page.
Displaying the guest count would help new users easily find and join popular parties.
After a long period of listening in a party, the party continued but my music stopped playing and I was given a fullscreen overlay with a "Join Party" button as if I was just joining it. I was able to join without any disruption to the party, but it's an odd bug.
Allow users to edit active party settings (such as permissions, privacy, and party name) while the party is actively playing.
To allow users to customize their experience, a user setting for Enabling/Disabling "AI Features" that would disable/hide any new features that actively call an AI/LLM service would be nice. This would benefit users who want a simpler experience or who have preference for non-AI services.
I’d love to see a customizable text-to-speech "Announce" button that reads song details aloud. Users could choose to hear announcements before a track begins ("Up next is [Title] by [Artist]"), after it ends ("That was [Title]"), or both. Furthermore, listeners could customize exactly what metadata the computer-generated voice reads, toggling options like title, artist, album, and release year. Not only is this a helpful accessibility feature for visually impaired users, but it’s also a highly practical tool for musicians and music lovers who want to learn song facts hands-free while listening.
Allow a toggled view that's just like the clock view, but instead of one 360 rotation reflecting 1 hr of play time, it reflects the total length of the playlist. Like a "zoom out", all tracks in the playlist are visible as small pie pieces in the clock face.

Allow users to create, save, and share custom skins with the community. This will require backend work and a bucket to hold images.
The party function is great for attendees to add songs to, but it would be more practical for any in-person parties to just have the music on the host device so other party attendees don't have to mute their phones.
For uses who want the traditional view, this would be valuable and could replace the current album art popup that shows when the user taps on the art in the bottom left corner. I want to be able to click another active user and "Ask to listen" to their queue or "Ask to share" my queue. With only one click, plus maybe private/public, this configures and starts a party and pulls both users in.
I noticed that when you browse a band's albums, only 10 albums show up. However if you search by song title, it will find songs from albums that are not part of the listed 10, so it appears there is a max of 10 albums showing up.

In the party "Songs from the Movies" on 9/11/2026 I added five songs, reordered them a bit, and the last one was Jurassic Park Theme. The party chat talked about how we'd end on this at the end of the workday 4pm. But when that time came Jurassic Park had disappeared. Editing a playlist with autosave on permanently changes the shape of that playlist. It would be helpful to have a way to quickly swap a playlist to the queue, effectively making a temporary copy of the playlist that you can butcher to your hearts content.
- Current Behavior: Dragging and dropping an album onto the player defaults to "replace all and play now" unless the user holds Shift. - Issue: This isn't intuitive and hinders one-handed accessibility. - Proposed Solution: Instead of the current generic "Stop the music" dialog, dragging and dropping should trigger a popup asking to either "Add to this playlist" or "Replace all and Play Now."
This is something that's extremely valuable on Spotify and Apple to see what the most popular songs are. If Giddy includes the same major content, it would be nice to have a similar playlist to hit play on without having to build one.
